Originally from Buffalo New York, Scott acquired his first 35mm German-made Realist rangefinder camera as a young teenager and also learned how to develop film and prints. After High School graduation, he attended the Fine Arts program at the State University at New Paltz, N.Y. where he studied Photography, Art History & the Violin. An unexpected opportunity appeared one day during a journalism class and Scott was accepted for a Photography internship with a group of over 30 students who were to produce a weekly newspaper called “The Legislative Gazette”. (It still is a highly respected political news source for everything going on in the state capitol of Albany!) It was here that he began learning how to create picture stories that would ultimately shape his career and open up exciting avenues for his future work as a professional photographer.

The Fashion Institute of Technology was Scott’s the next step for learning more about the technical aspects of Photography and after completing a two year Associates degree program, he decided to work as an assistant in several Fashion, Advertising and Commercial photography studios before starting his own business.

In the summer of 92’, Scott drove to San Francisco in his 1966 Oldsmobile Convertible named “Daisy and began his west coast journey as a Freelance Photographer. Since then he has acquired multitudes of clients who hire him to photograph everything from Corporate special events to Family Portrait sessions.

Scott’s work has been published in the The New York Times, The NY Post, SF Chronicle, The SF Examiner, The Nob Hill Gazette, San Francisco & Marin Magazine, Latitude 38 and has exhibited his nautical fine art work in various galleries and shows in the Bay Area.

As an avid Sailor and curious traveler, Scott has had the good fortune of creating photographs in many fascinating countries throughout North America, Mexico, Europe, Asia and most recently, India!
